Renshinkan Shukokai Karate-Do

As Chief Instructor of Renshinkan Shukokai Karate-Do it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website.

The Renshinkan Shukokai Karate-Do is a friendly place to learn traditional Japanese Shukokai Karate. You will learn a wide range of techniques and combinations from punching, kicking and blocking, to traditional forms (kata) to sparring (kumite) padwork and self defence.

As a traditional karate dojo we teach Shukokai Karate as it was intended - "A Self Protection Fighting System". The karate we teach is for the "Real World". Our emphasis is on building healthy minds and bodies and teaching fighting skills that are of practical use in self defence situations.

We train at two locations in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire which lies on the northwestern fringe of Greater Glasgow, approximately 6 miles from the City Centre, and NEW STUDENTS are always welcome to join our classes. We enrol children from the age of 6.

At the Renshinkan Shukokai Karate-Do we are dedicated to making your karate experience enjoyable and rewarding.
